We are all faced everyday with the difficult question of, “what is for dinner?”. My go to, and probably most of Closter’s is Rudy’s; a ristorante and pizzeria. Rudy’s has been proudly serving up italian dishes since 1963. Not only are their prices family-friendly enough, but their portion sizes are HUGE! You and the family can eat out without breaking the bank. 

The current owners Charlie and Fred Osso grew up in Calabria, Italy. Needless to say, they know their stuff when it comes to delicious italian food made with fresh ingredients. Italy has some of the freshest olive trees, red onions, and tomatoes in the entire world, and at Rudy’s they wanted it to be the same. 

When Charlie began working for Rudy’s Pizza in Closter, he worked for the original owner, Rodolfo “Rudy” Coniglio. When Rudy decided it was his time to retire, he offered the restaurant to Charlie. Charlie and his brother gathered their savings and took advantage of this new opportunity to own New Jersey’s most popular restaurant. 

Their mission at Rudy’s is to deliver an authentic Italian dining experience, like the one they were raised on. They are committed to quality ingredients and to keeping the place affordable even with its popularity and demand. They introduced traditional Italian pasta, seafood and specialties to the menu at Rudy’s and it was a hit. As their popularity grew over time, they added a wine list and full bar with premium cocktails. This place just keeps getting better and better. They also offer take-out, catering for parties on site or off, and daily specials to die for.
