Hi Everyone, and welcome back to another episode of Northern Valley Vibes, I’m Lisa Bonhotal with Coldwell Banker. Today we are checking out Headlines by Pantana, a classic hair salon in Northvale, New Jersey but… with a twist.
Headlines, as well as other businesses, have been shut down for the past 3 months due to COVID-19 so now more than ever, the businesses in our communities need our support. Let’s chat with Sharron and find out what makes Headlines so special.
Headlines has been around since 1974 and Sharron started working there in 1986 and I wanted to know more about her and the salons’ experience during COVID. When businesses started closing, Sharron and her team thought that they were getting a two-week vacation but they soon realized that would not be the case.
In preparation for re-opening, many new procedures have been put into place. Upon entering the salon, there are signs that state that masks are required throughout the salon and the entirety of your appointment. If your mask is uncomfortable, she even has a medical tape that can be applied in order to keep the mask in place. All shampooing chairs and stations will be sanitized in between each client as well. Hairdressers will also be working in shifts to ensure that there isn’t an excessive amount of people in the salon at once.
Not to mention, Headlines by Pantana has a separate room for at-risk clients! Another really cool option that Headlines offers is a “Family Time” option which means you can make an appointment for your whole family and there will not be any other clients in the salon!
